Tangiers

After the desert trip at Erg Chebbi, I took an overnight bus to Tangiers. I didn’t stay long in Tangiers, but I had enough time to visit another filming location for The Bourne Ultimatium. Jason Bourne came here in search of Neal Daniels after visiting the offices of Sewell and Marbury (a CIA front) in Madrid.

Several scenes of Desh and Jason were filmed driving down this street. But now it has been pedestrianized.

Looking across Tangiers from the top of the hill when the explosion was filmed, you can see the port.

I took the next ferry out of Tangiers to Spain. Coincidently, it was a Comnav ferry. Probably the same one used in the movie! The only difference was I was leaving Morocco, whist in the movie Jason Bourne and Nikky Parsons caught it to Morocco.

The strait is quite narrow and you can easily see Africa from Europe.
