Lars Homestead

The Lars homestead features in four of the six Star Wars movies. The exterior of the homestead were filmed on this set built on the Chott el-Jerid salt lake, south west of Nefta, Tunisia.

The Grand Dunes was where the scenes of Artoo and See-Threpio wandering in the desert after their escape pod crashed on Tatooine were filmed.
